Get Psych'd Skills (GPS) - Navigating Your Emotions is a skills-based Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) group program for young people aged 12 - 25.
Over 3 separate modules of 6-weeks young people learn practical skills to:

Young people learn strategies to assist them with a range of challenges, including:
Led by a registered mental health clinician, young people are supported in a relaxed environment where they can have a bit of fun while they learn.
The GPS group program is suitable for all young people aged 12 - 25, particularly:
GPS is a group therapy program, with a small group of 8 - 12 young people.
Each module is delivered face-to-face over 6-weeks. Group sessions (2 hours) are held weekly on:
The GPS group program is run on a rolling schedule through each of the 3 modules.
Modules aren't sequential and can be undertaken in any order, giving young people the flexibility to join the program and complete a module when suits them.

Registrations are essential!
Registrations are required prior to the commencement of each module, and participants must attend the full 6-weeks of the module.

Please note: forms will be reviewed by a mental health clinician to ensure suitability for the GPS group program before a young person's registration is confirmed and payment is required.

Participation in the GPS group program is subject to the GPS Group Program Terms and Conditions.
Yes. Medicare rebates may be available for participation in the GPS group program, on up to 10 group therapy sessions per calendar year.
You will need a valid GP referral (for individual and/or group therapy) as part of a mental health treatment plan to access Medicare rebates.
No. The Medicare rebate does not cover the full module cost, so there is an out-of-pocket cost applicable.
The current Medicare rebate applicable is $46.75 per group therapy session.
Full payment of the module cost is required upon registration.
Medicare rebates can only be claimed following the completion of each group therapy session.
If you are eligible and have requested to receive services under Medicare, Get Psych'd will submit the claim on your behalf with Medicare. You will receive a copy of your Medicare Statement of Claim and Benefit Payment as confirmation. Once the claim has been approved by Medicare you will receive your applicable Medicare rebate via your payment method listed with Medicare.
Yes. NDIS participants may be eligible to participate in the GPS group program under the NDIS where they have Capacity Building funding available for therapeutic support/psychology.
Each module of the GPS group program is offered as a "Program of Support" in accordance with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
NDIS participants will be required to enter into a NDIS Service Agreement for participation in a/each module/s (separately), prior to the commencement of a GPS group program module. The NDIS Service Agreement will outline the specific terms and conditions applicable.
No. Due to NDIS funding arrangements and "Program of Support" rules, in accordance with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, not all costs for participation in the GPS group program are covered by the NDIS. As such there is an additional per module participant cost allocated, referred to as the Participant Contribution.
This cost covers the purchase of program specific resources, such as program materials, technology (apps) and general activity resources. The Participant Contribution amount will be specified in the NDIS Service Agreement.
Funding is available for participation in the GPS group program, subject to eligibility criteria, through the Melbourne City Mission - Family Reconciliation Mediation Program (MCM-FRMP) for young people, aged 16 - 25, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Yes. Where you have 8 or more young people you'd like to attend the GPS group program (1, 2 or all 3 modules), an in-house group program can be arranged for your school, church, sporting or community group.
To enquire, simply send an email to hello@getpsychd.com.au with your contact details and we'll get in touch with you to discuss the available options. In house GPS group programs are subject to facilitator availability and suitability.
